Power Electronics Engineer
AnySignal is building the future of performant, resilient and adaptive connectivity for the space economy. As a Power Electronics Engineer on the hardware team, you will be responsible for owning the design, manufacture, and test of power circuitry for highly integrated PCBAs used by a large number of space customers. You will work with a small team of software, RF hardware, and FPGA engineers to shepherd the product from initial design to vehicle integration, taking a full-stack approach to building robust space communication systems. Responsibilities - Design, analyze and test DC-DC power converters for space - Work on electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements - Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis - Work with multidisciplinary teams of hardware, software and production engineers to create new power electronics hardware Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline - 3+ years of professional experience designing power circuitry - Proven experience doing schematic capture and layout in Altium Designer or similar - Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics - Experience designing and debugging power converters Preferred Experience & Skills - Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field - Familiar with failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMEA) - Experience designing power trees with complex sequencing requirements - Experience with hand-on impedance measurement and loop-gain measurement - Working experience in voltage and current mode control and compensation design - Strong grasp of DC-DC topologies, with ability to select optimal architectures and components - Familiarity with a wide range of topologies such as push-pull, buck, boost, buck-boost, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC resonant and phase-shifted full-bridge converters - Familiarity with space
