We are looking for a Power Systems Engineer with a passion for grid operations, energy security, and cross-border collaboration. In this role, you will play a crucial role in securing and optimizing electricity exchanges across Europe . Using advanced grid security analysis, capacity calculations, and coordination with TSOs , you will contribute to the stability and reliability of the interconnected European power system . As a Power Systems Engineer, you will take part in both grid operations (shift-based) and project-based office work to ensure the stability of Europe's energy system. Shift Responsibilities (Grid Operations) Perform cross-border capacity calculations – Assess and allocate available capacity for energy exchanges between European countries. Monitor grid security – Analyze network conditions to detect and mitigate potential risks (e.g., overloads, instability). Implement emergency measures – Work closely with TSOs to apply coordinated remedial actions (network reconfiguration, redispatching, etc.). Utilize cutting-edge tools – Work with network analysis software, contingency analysis, and energy flow models . Office Responsibilities (Data Analysis & Project Work) Investigate past critical grid events – Perform post analysis of system disturbances and propose improvements.
