Renesas is seeking Principal Supplier Quality Engineer, responsible in establishing and maintaining the quality standards of semiconductor assembly suppliers, ensuring product consistency, and driving continuous improvement through supplier assessments, audits, and corrective action processes. Additional responsibilities include serving as a regional liaison for suppliers of manufacturing operations providing support on Quality documentation and implementation of best-known-practices. This role ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed and assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO/TS16949 wherever applicable. Responsibilities: Liaison between regional suppliers and Renesas Manage quality excursions and drive for effective root cause solutions and preventive actions Support process/material change process and site certification and audit activities Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Support assembly processes, with a focus on Cu Clip, surface mount technology (SMT), components and related manufacturing techniques. Identify quality trends, manage projects & influence teams to drive continuous improvement. Support best practice or lesson learn initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier quality. Ability to motivate others, remain focused and organized. Communicate with excellent written/verbal and problem-solving skills. BS in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 15 years relevant experience in supplier quality management which includes supplier selection, ongoing quality improvement and manufacturing excursion response management. Proven experience in assembly processes, with a focus on Cu Clip, surface mount technology (SMT), components and related manufacturing techniques.
