Privacy Analyst I

The Privacy Analyst will have experience with health information privacy (including, but not limited to, HIPAA), healthcare compliance, regulatory analysis and interpretation, and/or compliance investigations. The successful candidate will work with the other members of the R1 privacy team by assessing, monitoring, investigating, educating on, and promoting compliance with all federal and state data and information privacy requirements and addressing client and operational practices. Further, this candidate will support R1’s comprehensive strategy and growth plans in helping to ensure that the company exhibits and maintains a robust privacy compliance program in safeguarding Protected Health Information (“PHI”). Responsibilities: Receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking action on data incidents and issues concerning compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations and/or the Company’s privacy policies and procedures; Ensuring consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies in cooperation with others on the R1 privacy team, Human Resources and legal counsel, as applicable; Developing compliance-based metrics and reporting mechanisms to track privacy and data incident concerns as reported into or otherwise identified by compliance; Working with internal teams to remediate any activities for continuous privacy improvement, including managing projects for privacy and compliance enhancement; Supporting the Company’s proactive efforts to monitor, educate on, and promote compliance with all fede
