We have multiple openings for Product Engineers to support a modernization program. In this role, you will support the High Explosives (HE) Product Realization Team (PRT), contributing to HE material characterization, process development, producibility, surveillance, and the release of product definition, including drawings and specifications, to production agencies. You will also help resolve production partner issues and develop and execute engineering evaluations of production and surveillance processes at manufacturing facilities. These positions are within the Defense Technologies Engineering Division (DTED) in the Engineering Directorate, which supports Strategic Deterrence (SD) Programs. These roles may offer a hybrid schedule, with a mix of in-person and virtual work. You may have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week. These positions will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
