Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift

JOB DETAILS The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations within a diverse and talented manufacturing team for one of our legacy sites within the metal solutions business unit. Beyond supervision, they also coach, resolve issues, train, and serve as a link between direct reports and upper management. This position is a 2nd shift, 6pm-2:30am, Monday through Friday. OT as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitates the manufacture of building products to meet production demands, while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity Collaborates with plant leadership to develop staffing guidelines, optimizing resource utilization while controlling costs Hires, supervises, evaluates, and replaces staff as required to meet performance goals Develops and trains employees for increasing responsibilities, conducts periodic evaluations, and holds safety and production meetings daily. Drives initiatives of 5S, cost reduction, and quality improvement Conducts Interviews and identifies qualified candidates for hire Assigns personnel, oversees rotations, and maintains effective communication during shift changes and troubleshooting Ensures accurate completion of paperwork related to line operation, including logs, audits, and corrective actions Readily addresses any urgent production or shipping requirements, even if it disrupts the regular workflow Knowledge and understanding of all safety polices and regulations and ability to address all unsafe acts and conditions Administers policies fairly and consistently Provides coaching and counselling to employees and corrective action when needed, following company guidelines Promotes overall goals of company in safety, quality, delivery, and cost Identifies and assists with implementations for continuous process improvement.
