Remote 4-8 or 5-9 pm (20hrs.) The Psychotherapist provides counseling within an outpatient program. Performs assessment, individual, family and group counseling. Coordinates and implements the treatment plan. Provides crisis intervention as necessary. Services are provided to adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples using knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients. In concert with psychiatrists, maintains a team approach in treating patients. Adheres to professional and ethical guidelines as outlined by mental health care organizations and associations. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated. Performs intake assessments, evaluations and referrals of assigned clients, obtaining sufficient information during the evaluation process for clinical assessment and planning. Presents treatment and service plan to clients following evaluation process. Provides care necessary as described in department policies and procedures. Performs appropriate treatment services to assigned clients. Uses interventions with assigned clients which meet accepted standards of mental health care and reflect consideration of treatment plan. Provides crisis management for assigned cases and is able to provide back up for the program. Maintains amount of weekly scheduled client hours as required by depa
