QA Engineer

THE ROLE: At Sunrise Robotics, the QA Engineer role validates the software that runs our robotic cells and helps it move from alpha to production quickly, safely, and with clear evidence. This is not a “click around the UI” QA role. Our product is a physical robotic cell: two robot arms, cameras, safety systems, edge compute, perception, motion, behavior trees, deployment tooling, and a customer-facing interface all working together in the real world. Your job is to help define and enforce the internal R&D definition of done for software running on robotic cells, then make the handover to deploy teams clear and low-friction. That means defining what needs to be tested, coordinating the right engineers, making test evidence visible, and making sure a robotic cell is genuinely ready for the next stage, not just passing a few isolated checks. Early on, you’ll learn how our system works and help run the alpha-to-production validation process.
