Napier Turbocharger, a Wabtec Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established business that designs, manufactures, and tests industrial turbochargers supplied into the Power Generation, Marine, and Rail Traction industries. Role: Quality Engineer Salary: £Competitive Location: LN5 7FD, Lincoln Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time How will you make a difference? We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our Procurement & Supply Chain function. In this key role, you will investigate and resolve supplier non‑conformance issues, ensure suppliers meet our stringent quality system requirements, and drive continual improvement across our approved supplier base. What will your typical day look like? Investigating supplier non‑conformances and leading root cause analysis. Ensuring supplier compliance with Napier’s Quality Management System through audits and improvement action plans. Measuring and maintaining supplier performance in line with the Napier Vendor Assessment system. Leading supplier investigations and managing corrective action processes (5‑Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, 8D). Supporting suppliers with technical and process improvements. Conducting supplier risk assessments and participating in new supplier evaluations and approvals. Managing supplier scorecards, KPIs, and quality performance dashboards. Collaborating cross‑functionally with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams. What do we want to know about you? Experience within Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Supplier Development or Supplier Management Experience in a regulated industry (automotive, aerospace, medical devices, etc.) is advantageous. APQP, PPAP, FMEA (Process & Design), MSA, SPC 8D, root cause analysis tools Lean & Six Sigma methodologies Managing supplier deviation and non‑conformance processes Engineering drawing interpretation Understanding manufacturing processes: CNC machini
