Quality Engineer

Who will you be working with? Our Wabtec Young Touchstone team combines knowledge of our customers’ product platforms/processes with industry expertise to deliver unparalleled product solutions. Here you’ll interact daily with all support team functions to solve problems and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions group Quality team, you will be responsible for providing services and support to internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, processes and products meet or exceed specifications. This position will primarily be in Lexington, TN, but will support both Young Touchstone business facilities located in Lexington and Jackson Tennessee respectively. The role reports directly to the Quality Leader. What do we want to know about you? To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Be a self-starter who works well with manage Strong Problem-solving skills Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle, Reliance Ability to start and complete projects with little or no supervision Understand/Demonstrate ability to utilize lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to lead in a group setting as well as independently Strong Work Ethic and commitment to the business unit Conflict Resolution skills Strong knowledge of products and procedures Ability to adapt and flex in a dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, improve culture, and influence Proficient in data analytics, systems navigation, and information management Strong interpersonal and leadership skills What will your typical day look like?
