The work: The SAP Product MDM Technical Consultant is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and governance of Article Master Data within SAP S/4 Retail environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP S/4 Article structures, Master Data Management (MDM) tools, workflow design, and enterprise application architecture. The consultant will translate business requirements into actionable technical designs, guide development teams, ensure data integrity across systems, and support master‑data related project workstreams. Key Responsibilities: Apply advanced knowledge of SAP S/4 Retail Article structure, including article types, characteristics, number ranges, distribution chains, site data, and reference articles Design and configure Article Master setup and related workflows in MDM tools, ensuring alignment with industry practices and enterprise data governance Conduct translation of business area customer information into detailed enterprise application design deliverables Interact with consultants, SMEs, and client team members to analyze functional and technical alternatives and provide recommendations Develop programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic
