SAP Transportation Management Event Management SME

This is a remote position. The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Event Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) implementation. This role will focus on the design, configuration, integration, testing, and adoption of transportation event management capabilities that provide end-to-end visibility into logistics movements, milestone execution, exceptions, alerts, and operational status. You will work directly with government stakeholders, functional leads, technical teams, and integration partners to translate complex transportation execution requirements into SAP-enabled event management processes that improve visibility, control, auditability, and mission readiness within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This position requires an active Secret clearance. Candidates who do not currently hold a Secret clearance may be considered for company‑sponsored processing, contingent upon contract requirements and client approval. Responsibilities: Serve as the functional authority for SAP Transportation Management (TM) Event Management capabilities, advising on event capture, milestone tracking, exception handling, alerts, notifications, and process visibility. Translate business and operational requirements into functional specifications and solution designs aligned with SAP S/4HANA, SAP TM, and enterprise integration architecture. Guide design and configuration decisions across key event management areas such as transportation milestones, freight order and freight unit status tracking, event profiles, expected events, actual event reporting, exception monitoring, alerting, and visibility dashboards. Ensure alignment with integration points across SAP modules and related systems, including TM, EWM, MM, SD, GTS, master data, interfaces, reporting, and external carrier or logistics partner event feeds.
