Senior Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager About the Client: A growing hospitality organization that owns and operates a portfolio of hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. Overview: We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to own the accounting function for a waterpark operating asset. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role owns the month-end close, delivers accurate financial reporting and analysis to leadership and ownership, and maintains a strong internal control environment. It is ideal for a hands-on manager who can both review the details and elevate the numbers into insight. Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Review Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountant(s) supporting the waterpark Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers prepared by staff Own and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar, ensuring deadlines are met Review the financial package for accuracy and completeness before it is distributed to leadership and ownership Financial Reporting & Analysis Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and provide insights to leadership Generate and present timely, accurate reporting for internal stakeholders and ownership Analyze financial data to identify trends and operational efficiencies Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and profitability improvements Budgeting, Forecasting & Controls Lead the annual budget process and periodic forecasts in partnership with operations Own cash flow forecasting and monitor liquidity across the portfolio Maintain and enforce internal controls and company accounting policies Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy Accounting Oversight Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and billing processes Oversee waterpark and revenue accounting, including Attendance/POS reconciliation Ensure all
