Senior Applications Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to act as the primary technical anchor for our next-generation DC-DC and multiphase power solutions, directly enabling high-performance computing and automotive tier-1 customer designs. In this role, you will own the hardware evaluation, circuit simulation, and system-level debugging required to turn our cutting-edge power management silicon into robust, real-world customer implementations. You will be joining an industry leader at a time when Renesas is aggressively scaling its power portfolio to solve the dense, high-current delivery challenges of the AI infrastructure boom. As a member of our Power Management business unit, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Renesas’ industry-leading power management solutions. You will collaborate closely with product definition, marketing, and field teams to develop innovative Winning Combinations (Success Stories), support key customer tier-1 designs, and define the next generation of highly efficient DC-DC and multiphase power solutions. Responsibilities Design-In Support: Lead product promotion and design-in activities, including power tree architecture and power delivery system debugging. Product Definition: Contribute to the definition of innovative, differentiated products based on technical requirements and market needs. Hardware Review: Perform schematic capture and PCB layout reviews for both internal evaluation boards and customer designs. Simulation: Develop and execute simulations of power converter circuits and systems for development and resolution of technical issues. Documentation: Author technical documentation, such as application notes and design guidelines, to assist customers with product deployment. Technical Training: Provide training on product usage and DC-DC converter fundamentals to Field Application Engineers (FAEs) and customer engineering teams.
