Senior Backend Engineer / Technical Lead

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer / Tech Lead to design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems for Nexthink Assist, our AI-native product. You'll integrate new capabilities into Assist and customize and enhance the workspace experience that sits at the center of it. You will develop core services and infrastructure supporting large-scale data processing, real-time interactions, and integrations across multiple systems. This is a highly collaborative role requiring clear communication, strong technical judgment, and the ability to work effectively across teams. You will own significant backend components end to end, set technical direction, and navigate cross-team decisions and disagreements with minimal oversight. Responsibilities Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems that serve millions of users. Drive end-to-end delivery of features: from design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring. Architect real-time, low-latency APIs and backend services for AI-driven conversational systems within Assist. Develop cloud-native services in Java, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. Work on infrastructure components, including AWS-based deployments, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS).
