The Aviation Department in Ramboll Denmark is looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior/Chief Design Manager for our increasing portfolio of airfield projects. You will become part of our Aviation team As our new Senior/Chief Design Manager, you will become part of a dedicated international aviation team. We work primarily within the fields of planning, design and maintenance of airside infrastructure in Denmark and internationally. While the position and the hiring department is located in Copenhagen we collaborate with our aviation colleagues across our geographies in Europe, North America, India and Southeast Asia. You will hence become part of a diverse, international team, that works on airport projects throughout the full project cycle – from planning, through concept and detailed design to construction. Your future colleagues have strong experience within Master Planning, Geometric Design, Pavement Design, AGL Design, preparation of tender documents, construction supervision and maintenance of airside assets. Your most important tasks and responsibilities will be: Oversee and approve technical design work for airfield projects (taxiways, runways, stands, geometry, pavements, drainage, lighting, signage, grading, markings), ensuring designs meet regulatory standards, client requirements and Ramboll’s technical quality criteria throughout the project lifecycle. Lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate external consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers to deliver technically robust, constructible and cost‑efficient solutions on schedule and within budget. Establish and enforce technical governance, quality assurance and risk-management processes (design reviews, checks, verification, peer reviews), and resolve complex technical issues and design conflicts.
