Senior Cost Control Manager

A highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Control Manager will oversee the management of large-scale construction and infrastructure project budgets from inception to completion. This senior-level position will be responsible for ensuring financial discipline, effective cost control, and alignment with project and organizational objectives. This position will work closely with internal and external project teams, vendors, cost consultants, finance, and accounting teams to ensure project costs are accurately forecasted, tracked, and maintained. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction contracts, change management processes, and financial systems, along with the ability to lead teams and drive cost-effective solutions across multiple complex projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor onsite cost team. Provide direction for strict adherence to cost control processes and ensure alignment across the project management teams. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure seamless execution of cost management strategies. Project Budget Oversight: Manage and oversee the creation and validation of project budgets for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Monitor financial performance through all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and identifying potential areas for cost savings. Contract & Change Order Management: Thoroughly review construction contract documents and assess potential change orders. Lead the process of evaluating and approving change orders, ensuring that cost implications are accurately assessed, documented, and communicated to project stakeholders. Oversee the management of internal approval workflows for change orders in accordance with established delegation of authority protocols.
