Senior Data Governance Analyst

What is this position about? Execute and support enterprise Data Governance initiatives and governance processes end to end Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures Perform data analysis and data profiling to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement Assist with metadata management activities, including documenting and maintaining business and technical metadata Leverage AI-powered data governance tools to automate data classification and tagging, identify sensitive or non-compliant data, and support governance workflows Monitor data assets for compliance with governance policies, identifying potential violations and recommending corrective actions Support the implementation and validation of AI-assisted data retention, archival, and lifecycle management policies Validate data governance controls and ensure compliance with established governance policies and regulatory requirements Document business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders Support data stewardship activities and contribute to improving data quality across critical data domains Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into governance documentation Monitor governance activities and contribute to continuous process improvements Communicate governance updates, findings, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field. Approximately 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business/Data Analysis, or related areas. Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan , Collibra , Alation , or similar governance workflow and metadata management tools.
