Senior Director, Systems & Solutions Engineering

The Senior Director, Systems & Solutions Engineering leads the team responsible for designing, building, and operating the systems and solutions that support Renesas product groups and technologies. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the VP of User Experience, responsible for setting technical direction, managing a team of managers and senior engineers, and partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions. The role combines strategic ownership of the systems/solutions roadmap with hands-on accountability for team performance, delivery, and operational excellence. Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Systems & Solutions Engineering team, aligning priorities to business needs from product groups and sales. Lead, develop, and grow a team of 5–8 direct reports (managers and senior ICs), including hiring, performance management, and career development. Partner with Product, Engineering leadership, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Drive architectural decisions and technical standards for systems and solutions delivery, balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability. Develop scalable systems solutions that can be leveraged effectively in distribution and mass market channels and initiatives. Manage team budget, headcount planning, and vendor/tooling decisions within the function. Establish and monitor KPIs for team delivery, system reliability, and operational health; report progress to senior leadership. Represent the team in cross-functional planning, executive reviews, and strategic initiatives. Identify and mitigate technical and organizational risk across systems and solutions initiatives 20+ years of experience in systems engineering, solutions engineering, or related technical roles, including 5+ years in a people leadership capacity.
