What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that’s all part of the fun. This role will give you the flavour of the type of things you’ll be working on when you start - but it will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: Owning the end-to-end craft of motion assets - video, transitions, characters, scenes, and storytelling sequences - that ship directly into Canva's content ecosystem Developing narrative-driven motion content that sets the creative bar for how millions of users experience animation in Canva Partnering with template designers and product teams to shape how motion features are demonstrated and adopted at scale Contributing to creative reviews, content strategy, and experimentation cycles that influence the direction of Canva's motion library Staying ahead of animation trends, editing styles, and visual storytelling techniques and bringing that thinking into the work You're probably a match if Motion-obsessed and skilled in animation, timing, pacing, and visual storytelling Comfortable working across multiple styles Excited to create assets that empower others to tell their stories Inspired by the challenge of simplifying professional-level motion for everyday users Curious about the evolving world of motion design, film language, and mixed-media visuals Collaborative, autonomous, and comfortable working in fast-paced con
