This position will focus on our next generation offering, in R&D stage, that is fully funded with customers in place for high volume production. Responsibilities Perform advanced design, tolerancing, and FEA analysis for strain, vibrational nodes, model analysis, thermal and shock analysis. Responsible for optical system design based on experimental and system modeling. Capable of analysis of key performance metrics and derive tolerance errors and mechanical tolerance analysis Assemble, qualify, and debug new optical-mechanical module systems and subsystems, including light source, lens system and detection sensor Develop optical tooling and fixture to assist high-precision alignment and assembling process - Establish optical subsystem build and qualification process and release reliable process to Manufacturing Work with the Manufacturing department & supplier to support volume ramp and optical quality control Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree plus 6+ years of working experience in the field + Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Mechanical and/or Optical Engineering.
