Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Engineer to join our Ashland LLC Global Engineering Department. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company as a global technical leader for packaging equipment and standards supporting solid and liquid chemical products across regulated end markets. This is fully remote position will report to Robert Burgman, Director of Engineering. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for standardizing packaging formats, materials, and equipment across regions, while maintaining regulatory and customer-specific compliance. Drive sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective packaging solutions through close collaboration with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, and EHS. Lead packaging initiatives and manage documentation aligned with European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) goals. Lead packaging and packaging waste compliance programs related to country-specific requirements under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations Hands-on experience in executing the installation and retrofitting of packaging equipment Responsible for developing global technical specifications and standards Work with Procurement to enable competitive bidding and consistent quality across suppliers.
