Senior Product Designer, FME Flow

As a Senior Product Designer for FME Flow, you'll play a hands-on role in shaping the user experience of one of Safe Software's core products. You'll own design work across the full lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through to polished delivery, working closely with product management and software development to create intuitive, effective solutions for complex technical workflows. You'll produce a wide range of design artifacts to explore, define, and validate solutions, and you'll contribute to a strong design culture by engaging thoughtfully with peers and embracing new methods, including AI, to improve your efficiency and output. ABOUT THE TEAM As part of the FME Flow team, you'll join a cross-functional group of product managers, software developers, and designers who work closely together to shape one of Safe Software's core products. The team is responsible for delivering powerful, intuitive experiences that make complex data integration workflows more approachable and effective. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING As a Senior Product Designer, you will: STRATEGIC COLLABORATION - Own the end-to-end design process for product initiatives, from collaborating on opportunity framing, discovery workshops, concept development to final design handoff and QA. - Collaborate with product managers and technical stakeholders to scope features, align on vision, and contribute to roadmap decisions. - Apply sound judgment to determine when a solution warrants quick, tactical action (e.g., UI refinements, interaction polish) versus when to invest in deeper research and iterative design cycles—and clearly communicate that rationale to key stakeholders.
