Woolpert is hiring a Senior Roadway Design Technical Expert to join our dynamic Transportation Team at one of our Ohio offices. This position reports to the Ohio Transportation Practice Lead and is responsible for responsible for designs of roadway, bikeway, trail and pedestrian projects. They are responsible for the conceptual and preliminary layout of complex roadway, highway and interchange designs. They may also lead designs of roadway, bikeway, trail and pedestrian projects. Additionally, they are looked to in order to provide guidance to Project Managers on designs as well as train other staff. The Senior Roadway Design Specialist is looked to for design expertise and the ability to see projects from a conceptual standpoint and make design calls that will impact the final design of the project. This role will work on a variety of transportation projects spanning multiple clients, states and project types. They will be exposed to and work closely with other design teams in bridges, traffic, site development, planning amongst others.
