Senior Software Engineer - Customer Interfaces

The Role As a Senior Full Stack Engineer for Customer Interfaces in San Francisco, you will lead the evolution of Adyen’s experience platform, building the foundational frameworks, AI-integrated guardrails, and component libraries that empower global teams to ship secure, conversational financial experiences. We are looking for a product-minded engineer who can build end-to-end streaming, multi-modal user interfaces while architecting backend agentic workflows (specifically Tool-use, Chains, and Policy Layers). In this role, AI is not a standalone job title or a hypothetical sandbox; it is an integrated engineering capability used to transform natural language inputs into authenticated, secure financial operations. What You’ll Do Drive Intelligent Customer Interfaces: Lead the next generation of UIs at Adyen, building Dynamic/Agentic UI components in Vue/Preact that adapt in real time beyond static dashboards. Architect backend integration: Design performant Java services that orchestrate data pipelines and integrate with Agentic workflows to handle tool-use, chain execution, and state synchronization. Raise the Bar: Set engineering standards for the team and company. Provide mentorship through problem decomposition, research methodology, and code review.
