We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale new financial products from ambiguous opportunity to production-grade systems. This role is for a product-minded backend engineer with strong technical judgment, deep customer curiosity, and the ability to drive complex initiatives across teams, stakeholders, and external partners. This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who wants to build more than features. You'll help shape new product areas, bring complex financial workflows to life, work directly with cross-functional partners, and grow into broader technical leadership as Rho scales. You'll work on critical financial workflows and platform capabilities that sit close to how businesses manage money. The work is technically challenging, customer-facing, and often involves regulated systems, operational complexity, and third-party integrations. What you'll do - Own high-impact projects end-to-end, including our accounting integrations (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, Puzzle) that keep customers' books accurate and up to date, from problem definition and technical design through launch, iteration, and operational ownership. - Build reliable, scalable backend services that power core accounting and financial workflows, and help us expand into new adjacent product areas as the platform grows. - Turn ambiguous product and business problems into simple, durable technical solutions. - Develop a deep understanding of our customers' accounting and financial operations pain points, and use that context to make pragmatic product and engineering decisions. - Partner closely w
