Senior Software Release Engineer

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position What You'll Own Release engineering strategy. Design and build the release process for our software products. Establish how versions are created, validated, promoted, and deployed across development, staging, and production environments. Release automation. Develop and improve CI/CD workflows that make releases repeatable, observable, and low-risk. Define versioning conventions, release gates, approval paths, artifact handling, and deployment promotion practices. Automated testing in the pipeline. Partner with software and AI engineers to build automated testing into delivery pipelines. Ensure unit, integration, regression, security, and other appropriate checks run consistently before software advances to the next environment. Testing rigor and quality gates. Help establish practical standards for test coverage, test reliability, and release readiness. Drive adoption of quality gates that catch issues early without creating unnecessary delivery friction. Release coordination and traceability. Maintain clear visibility into what version is deployed in each environment, what changed between releases, and which validations were completed.
