Senior Staff Engineer, Supply chain optimization

REQUIREMENTS: Total experience 7.5+ years. Should have experience in Supply chain platforms (Llamasoft, O9, Anaplan, Kinaxis) Should be able to create hybrid optimization approaches and real-time optimization engines for large-scale, time-constrained problems. Should be able to implement machine learning-enhanced optimization and approximation algorithms for complex combinatorial problems. Should have experience with meta-heuristic algorithms and simulation platforms Should have advanced Python programming and understanding of computational complexity Should have proven experience solving real-world supply chain problems like network optimization, inventory planning, routing, warehousing, sourcing, etc. Should have ability to translate data and models into clear business recommendations Must have communication skills to bridge technical work and business decision-making Should have strong business communication and trade-off assessment skills Should have machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and multi-objective optimization Should have experience in parallel computing, stochastic optimization, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) Should have application integration experience and consulting background RESPONSIBILITIES: Understanding the client’s business use cases and technical requirements and be able to convert them into technical design which elegantly meets the requirements. Develop optimization models using exact solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX, AMPL) and heuristic/meta-heuristic algorithms (genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, tabu search, particle swarm optimization) Build discrete-event and agent-based simulations using AnyLogic, FlexSim, or equivalent platforms. Translate business challenges into mathematical formulations and embed models into scalable applications.
