Overview of Position Assurant is seeking a Senior Underwriter to evaluate complex homeowners and condo risks, make sound coverage and pricing decisions, and help drive profitable growth across our P&C product portfolio. In this role, you will balance customer needs with risk quality, partner across underwriting, product, data, claims, actuarial, legal, and technology teams, and contribute to the ongoing modernization of underwriting workflows. This is an opportunity for an experienced underwriter who is energized by the future of insurance and has some use of AI-enabled underwriting, workflow automation, predictive analytics, digital platforms, APIs, rule engines, or similar insurance technology. Determine whether risks qualify for Assurant programs, set appropriate coverage terms, and support pricing decisions that balance customer needs with profitable portfolio outcomes. Use underwriting judgment, data, analytics, automated workflows, AI-assisted insights, digital tools, and emerging technologies to improve risk assessment and decision quality. Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend updates to underwriting guidelines, appetite, rules, and processes.
