Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is an on-site position based in Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil, with an expectation of working on-site five days per week. Who will you be working with? You will be part of the Application Excellence team within the Digital Technology organization, supporting the LATAM Localization application portfolio. This role works closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders across Latin America, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and external vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable business solutions. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Application Excellence team, you will be responsible for developing, supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving Wabtec LATAM Localization applications and related system integrations. This role combines software engineering, cloud technologies, production support, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence to ensure critical business applications remain reliable and aligned with business needs. You will serve as the primary technical owner for the LATAM Localization application portfolio, providing technical leadership, supporting product roadmap discussions, guiding architectural decisions, and mentoring team members. The role requires close collaboration with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions that contribute to Wabtec’s digital transformation strategy across Latin America. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience in software development and application support. Strong experience with Node.js, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL Server. Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
