Software Engineer Mobile Charging XP
Listed as a remote role based in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
🏠 What Do We Do? The shift to electric mobility is happening. Electra is accelerating it. Transportation is one of Europe's biggest sources of carbon emissions. Since 2021, Electra exists to make charging so simple that electric vehicles become the obvious choice for everyone. In 5 years, we've built a team of 300+ talents from 21 nationalities in 10 countries. We’ve grown into one of Europe's leading fast-charging operators by deploying fast, reliable infrastructure and user experiences across our own network, and we’re now expanding to thousands more charging points in Europe with our own eMSP. Backed by over €1 billion in funding, we’re looking for bold, passionate, collaborative talents to drive Europe’s energy transition. If that sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you! 💼 Your Mission Join Electra's Charge XP team in Paris and help build the mobile apps that hundreds of thousands of drivers use every month to find, start, and pay for a charge. The team owns Electra's end-to-end charging experience as an eMSP: not just on our own stations, but across partner networks in Europe. Our mission: become a leading mobility player where our network is locally strong by 2027. 🦸♀️🦸♂️ Your Responsibilities Build and ship the core mobile experience Design, ship, and maintain features in our cross-platform mobile app used at real scale: map and search, station discovery, charge start and monitoring, payment, badges, and support flows. Care for the details that make an app feel excellent: navigation, transitions, error handling, latency, offline behavior. Because look and feel is what drives adoption against competition. Own driver-facing problems end to end Take features from discovery through rollout: seamless charging (Autocharge, RFID badges), station scoring and recommendation, search revamp, in-car and CarPlay experiences. Follow through after release: instrument what you ship, read the store reviews and Intercom tickets, and iterate. Our compass is end-to-end successful session rate and post-charge CSAT. Raise the engineering bar for a fast-growing app Simplify architecture, pay down debt, and strengthen the design system so the team can move fast without breaking the charge. Mentor peers while staying hands-on as an individual contributor, and use modern engineering practices and AI tooling responsibly to accelerate delivery while protecting quality, privacy, and maintainability. 😎 Your Profile You are an experienced hands-on mobile engineer with a strong track record shipping and operating consumer apps in production at meaningful scale. You enjoy owning a feature beyond the client: talking to backend and product, understanding the API, instrumenting the funnel, and debugging what happens in the physical world. You bring strong technical judgment, ownership, product sense, and attention to UX quality, performance, reliability, edge cases, and real-world failure modes. You are a fast learner, comfortable entering a complex domain (charging protocols, roaming, payments) and collaborating closely with product, design, operations, and customer care. Experience with Kotlin or React Native, native iOS/Android, app store release management, observability. AI-assisted engineering is a requirement. This role is based in Paris. ⚡️ What Electra Offers You A key role in a massive international rollout of Europe’s largest fast-charging network Opportunities to grow across engineering, operations, and strategy A collaborative and mission-driven environment Real impact on the energy transition and the future of mobility An attractive compensation package with fixed and variable components (evaluated and paid quarterly) Spacious offices, ideally located in Paris 2 days of remote work per week Alan health insurance (50% covered by Electra) Meal vouchers via Swile card (€10/day, 50% covered by Electra) 25 paid vacation days + 12 RTT (reduction of working time) days SYNTEC collective agreement (including vacation bonus, additional leave for special occasions, etc.) A quarterly company-wide event with the entire Electra team Sustainable Mobility Package Access to the company benefits platform (CSE) with numerous perks (culture, sports, etc.) Access to a platform dedicated to mental health, supporting your well-being at work and beyond, including up to 4 sessions per year with certified practitioners, covered by Electra Even if your profile doesn't match 100% of every criterion, we encourage you to apply.
