Description As part of the Supply Chain Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in building end-to-end, best-in-class software solutions for Apple’s Supply Chain needs, spanning Planning, Pricing, and Product Distribution. You will design and implement robust data models, develop Python-based middleware services, and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to define solutions that optimise Apple’s internal business processes. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data models supporting both transactional (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) workloads. Build and maintain Python middleware layers that integrate upstream and downstream systems, enabling seamless data flow across the supply chain platform. Develop and optimise ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability across large-volume databases. Collaborate with multi-functional teams across the globe (US, Singapore, India, and Europe) to deliver cutting-edge solutions in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment. Research, design, and implement complex technical solutions involving multiple technologies and data platforms. Interact with internal business teams to translate requirements into robust, maintainable software. Minimum Qualifications Experienced in enterprise-level application development using advanced Oracle database technologies. Strong data modelling skills — conceptual, logical, and physical — with the ability to design schemas that serve both operational and analytical use cases. Proven experience developing Python middleware services (APIs, integration layers, data orchestration) and hands-on experience with large-volume databases for both OLTP and OLAP environments. Proven expertise in ETL, performance optimisation, and maintenance of solutions based on Oracle databases. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience with databases such as SingleStore, Oracle, Snowflake, NoSQL, or Graph. Exposure to Product Pricing processes or pricing-related business domains. Strong ability to research, design, and develop complex technical solutions involving multiple technologies. Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies. Experience with Python ecosystem tools (Pandas, SQLAlchemy, NumPy) for data manipulation and integration. Experience in consuming and exposing web services (e.g., SOAP, REST). Knowledge of UNIX/Linux platforms and scripting experience with Shell, XML, JSON. AI/ML-related experience is a plus. A strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG is a plus.
