Position Overview The Software Systems Engineer II will develop, integrate, test, deploy, and support software within an assigned ICAM workstream. The engineer will work on the DHS-approved application stack, commit code regularly to the enterprise repository, maintain unit and automated testing coverage, and participate in secure CI/CD deployments. This is a software engineering role with production accountability. Candidates must be prepared to support Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting and to remain involved after code is deployed. Key Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, integrate, test, and maintain software for an assigned ICAM workstream. Develop application components using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, and MySQL. Commit code daily to the approved enterprise repository. Participate in source-control branching, peer review, merging, and release-management practices. Develop and maintain unit tests and automated test coverage. Work with test engineers to resolve defects and validate release readiness. Support CI/CD pipeline execution and zero-downtime deployments. Develop code that meets secu
