ABOUT THE ROLE Join our Development team to support the growth of our fintech product. As a Senior PHP Developer , you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems. You will take ownership of complex technical solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure the delivery of secure, robust, and maintainable code aligned with fintech industry standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP (8.x) and modern frameworks (Laravel or Symfony). Architect robust, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with fintech standards. Build and maintain REST APIs, ensuring proper versioning and backward compatibility. Optimize database performance (MySQL/MariaDB), including query tuning, schema design, and migrations. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker). Ensure code quality through testing strategies (unit, integration, feature tests) and code reviews. Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture in everyday development. Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. Enforce security best practices (OWASP, secure authentication flows, data protection, GDPR compliance). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
