This Sr. Production Planner position is based in State College, PA. The Senior Production Planner will be responsible for activities related to production planning, material availability, and lifecycle management. This individual will develop, implement, and maintain production planning and material management systems. This role will be a central piece of coordinating with the Demand, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure on time delivery of product. This individual is expected to prepare material requirement plans by using enterprise resource planning systems while looking for ways to continuously improve our systems and processes. Manage and release the production plan, material availability, and prepare production work orders for manufacturing to complete customer orders according to demand and establish proper replenishment and stocking quantities. Works with manufacturing to set a manufacturing priorities and holds them accountable to adhere to that schedule. Drive system performance and optimization to balance supply and demand, and bring transparency of risks, supply constraints, and opportunities to support the S&OP process. Help create and implement the S&OP forum as applicable. Managing inventory levels and minimizing them while meeting delivery expectations for their respective product categories.
