Staff Platform Engineer (LATAM)

The product: The client is building a core workflow platform used by specialized financial service providers to manage account lifecycles. The product functions similarly to a CRM, but instead of tracking sales leads, it’s designed to handle complex workflows around financial accounts. It also includes deep integrations with multiple payment platforms, making it a mix of operational tooling and fintech infrastructure. About the Client: We're looking for someone to help lay the groundwork for reliability and scalability efforts while also contributing directly to backend development. This role involves a healthy mix—roughly 70% backend engineering and 30% infrastructure and reliability work. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with backend features and integrations, but also comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, observability, and tooling that support engineering efficiency. Experience with technologies like container orchestration, relational databases, and cloud environments is a big plus. Given the lean nature of the team, versatility and initiative will be key. Remote Work from (Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina) Conduct performance testing and database health & tuning. Maintain and enhance our Kubernetes clusters. Improve monitoring systems and update alerts. Automate deployments and developer environments. Explore and implement CI/CD options. Maintain developer environments and CI pipelines. Provide on-call support to ensure system reliability and performance. (On-call rotations are designed to be fair and prevent burnout).
