Students perform a variety of tasks to assist with the maintenance of the Library Archives collections, and the purchasing and cataloging of new materials for the library. Responsibilities Pre-order searching to confirm price and availability of materials Processing new cataloged materials, including attaching barcodes, labels and dust-jackets Withdrawing titles from the collection and preparing withdrawn items for shipment or disposal Shelf maintenance, including shifting, reshelving books, and shelf reading Assisting with Interlibrary loan functions Creating metadata and descriptions for digitized photographs Processing archival materials Scheduling & Hours Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 10 hours per week Work-study eligible students welcome. Compensation and Benefits Rate of Pay: $16.45/hour Minnesota Sick and Safe Time Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave Not eligible for health insurance benefits Students must be currently enrolled at Augsburg and must be work-study eligible.
