About the Role: The Substation Utility Manager would be focused on managing a group of engineers responsible for executing projects in the substation utility sphere, as well as coordinating resources and expertise with Renewables and Design Managers to successfully complete projects across the full portfolio of Halker projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Meet with clients to develop new business and maintain existing business relationships. Responsible for ensuring that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants and that the requirements of the project are being satisfied. Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices. Provide overall leadership for the substation engineering function by setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards. Establish accountability for project execution, safety, quality, schedules, and budgets while aligning team efforts with organizational and regulatory objectives. Review and approve engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with industry standards, utility practices, safety requirements, and regulatory codes. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers by fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
