Under general supervision, you will provide technical and administrative support for the acquisition, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of electronic instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and mechanical equipment and hardware for a range of experiments and projects. You will work in a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment, collaborating with engineers, technologists, designers, machinists, and external vendors to plan, execute, and document technical activities. Work may involve Beryllium, radioactive/fissile materials, other hazardous materials, and classified parts and documents. This position is in the Defense Technologies Engineering Division (DTED), within the engineering directorate. This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work. This position will be filled at either the 538.2 or 538.3 level depending on your qualifications. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.
