This position is critical to the success of FWG’s partnership with the U.S. Navy. This position will manage all activities and the staff in an assembly function including a variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies and sub-assemblies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Manage the activities and staff in an assembly function including electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies · Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing and welding/fitting on assembly units · Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications · Establish and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions · Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications · Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup · Ability to use a variety of machinist'
