We have an opening for a Technical Procurement Engineer (aka Supply Chain Engineer) to support Superblock within the Defense Technologies Engineering Division (DTED) in the Engineering Directorate. You will work with engineering and scientific groups within the Superblock organization to define product requirements, plan projects, determine acquisition strategies, and execute fabrication and procurement decisions for specialized hardware, equipment, tooling, and services. In this role, you will serve as a primary interface between program engineering, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing support organizations, and suppliers in the definition, contracting, fabrication, delivery, installation, cleanliness, and storage of programmatic products. This position requires engineering judgment, strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, experience preparing technical procurement packages, and the ability to manage multiple complex assignments in support of schedule-driven production activities. This position may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options, may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.
