About the Role A fast-growing seed-stage biotechnology company in the nutraceuticals and food ingredients space is looking for a Technical Sales / Business Development Manager – Ingredients to drive its commercial growth phase. Following a highly successful trade show debut, this is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between an innovative R&D lab team and purchasing decision-makers at leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers. The company develops a proprietary drug-delivery technology that dramatically improves the bioavailability, water solubility, and sensory profile of plant-based active ingredients — enabling brands to formulate more effective, natural products across nutraceuticals, food, pharma, and personal care. If you bring deep technical understanding, a passion for science-backed ingredients, and genuine sales drive, this is your opportunity to build long-term partnerships from a strong pipeline of warm leads. What You'll Do Actively develop and manage a B2B sales pipeline — including lead nurturing, opportunity management, and deal closure — targeting supplement brands and contract manufacturers. Serve as the key commercial interface between the internal lab/R&D team and external buyers, translating complex scientific concepts into compelling commercial value propositions. Present and pitch technically sophisticated ingredient solutions in a clear, accessible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Build and maintain long-term key account relationships, acting as a trusted partner throughout the customer journey. Collaborate cross-functionally with the science team to align customer requirements with product capabilities. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings. Contribute to commercial strategy and business development efforts as the company scales.
