We have an opening for a W80-5 Engineering Group Leader with responsibility for leading a group of professional and technical personnel in the execution of the W80-5 warhead development program. Your team will provide a combination of engineering design, project management, certification, qualification, and support to production agencies for the W80-5 nuclear warhead. This position is in the Defense Technologies Engineering Division (DTED), supporting the Weapon Technologies and Engineering (WTE) Program. Depending on your assignment, this position may offer a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You may have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week. This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level. In this role you will Supervise, provide technical and administrative direction, guidance, support, mentoring, coaching, and promote teamwork for group personnel. Participate in performance reviews, ranking, and salary management processes. Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff as needed to meet programmatic staffing needs for the W80-5. Provide technical, safety, and security leadership to Group personnel and activities and collaborate with project principals and group personnel in defining employee work assignments
