Welding QA/QC Lead

The Mozambique LNG Project is a world-class, strategic LNG development with an overall investment exceeding USD 20 billion. This is a major onshore LNG development project currently under construction in Northern Mozambique. Onshore facilities include two LNG trains with a combined nameplate capacity of 13 Mtpa, LNG and condensate storage, marine loading facilities, utilities infrastructure, and associated early-site works. The project is one of the largest LNG investments in sub-Saharan Africa, with significant onshore EPC scope and a construction workforce expected to peak at around 15,000 personnel on site. HSE & Safety Leadership • Champion a strong safety culture across Client, Contractors, and Subcontractors; lead by example on welding HSE. • Oversee implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies related to welding and fabrication. • Audit site practices, set performance targets, and intervene to maintain a safe working environment. Quality Oversight & Performance Monitoring • Review, analyse, and report on overall welding performance of Contractors and Subcontractors. • Identify systemic risks or deviations; initiate root cause analyses and direct corrective action plans. • Manage non-conformities, monitor defect trends, and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
