Founding Backend Engineer

ORIGAMICS | Founding Backend Engineer | REMOTE (US) Origamics is building AI models that reason about hardware and electronics systems. We turn existing schematics into production ready boards, helping hardware design move at the speed of software. We’re hiring our first founding engineer to work directly with the founders. You’ll own product architecture, services, storage, engineering-tool integrations, and the productionization of physics-informed models. You Might Thrive If You: have built 0→1 systems, make sound build-vs-buy and infrastructure tradeoffs, and are excited by agentic systems and foundational AI models. >4+ years of experience building REST applications. Familiarity with the stack is not required but it would be nice to have. FastAPI, Postgres, S3, Python, Render/AWS, Codex/Claude/Kimi/Qwen (any other foundational model experience), monitoring frameworks.
