Junior Web Developer

Listed as a remote role based in Paris, Île-de-France, France. We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our team at Gulf Associates. In this role, you will support our core advisory work by building and maintaining the digital tools used to present commercial findings to our clients. Currently, our work includes support for a French multi-national corporation, where the presentation of complex data and partnership structures requires clear, functional web interfaces. This is a permanent, full-time position that is fully remote, allowing you to work from your preferred environment while staying connected with our senior-led advisory teams. Gulf Associates operates differently from larger consultancy firms. We prioritize commercial judgment over bulky reports, and our technical tools must reflect that same directness. You will help us move away from generic models by developing custom web solutions that allow our clients to see the ground reality of their investments. This role is about precision and reliability: creating dashboards and portals that help chief executives and sovereign entities make high-stakes decisions with confidence. What you will do Develop and maintain internal web applications and client-facing portals that host commercial research and scenario analysis. Translate complex spreadsheets and data sets into interactive, clear visualizations that non-technical users can navigate easily. Collaborate with senior partners to understand the specific logic of a deal and ensure the web interface supports the commercial position we are taking. Write clean, maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks to ensure all tools are responsive and secure. Conduct regular testing across different browsers and devices to ensure that our tools remain reliable for clients during critical negotiations. Integrate simple backend services and APIs to ensure the data presented in our dashboards is accurate and up to date. Maintain technical documentation for all internal tools to ensure the advisory team understands how to utilize new features. Support the security protocols necessary to protect sensitive commercial information related to private deals and state capital. What you bring A solid understanding of frontend development fundamentals: specifically HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript. Familiarity with at least one modern framework, such as React, Vue, or a similar environment used for building modular interfaces. An interest in commercial advisory and how technology can improve decision-making in high-stakes investment environments. The ability to prioritize clarity and function over unnecessary design flair: we value tools that work perfectly every time. A high level of self-discipline and the ability to manage your own tasks while working in a fully remote setup. Strong communication skills and the comfort level required to explain technical constraints to partners who focus on commercial outcomes. A baseline understanding of database structures and how to pull data into a frontend application. Attention to detail: you notice when a layout is slightly off or when a data point does not align with the visual presentation.
