Platform Engineer

Listed as a remote role based in Romania. We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift administration, Kubernetes, GitOps, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining on-premises and Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) clusters while ensuring high availability, observability, automation, and platform reliability. Key Requirements Strong experience in Red Hat OpenShift cluster installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance. Hands-on experience managing on-premises OpenShift environments and Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) . Strong expertise in Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture, troubleshooting, and platform engineering. Experience designing and implementing backup & restore solutions for OpenShift clusters. Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications. Strong knowledge of GitOps methodologies using tools such as ArgoCD or similar. Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and/or Terraform . Experience implementing observability solutions , including logging, monitoring, and alerting . Hands-on experience with Software Defined Storage (ODF/OpenShift Data Foundation) or similar storage solutions. Strong understanding of containerization technologies, networking, security, and platform best practices. Experience designing scalable, highly available, and secure Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Fluent German language skills are mandatory.
