About the role We are looking for a hands-on Staff Engineer to join the team building highly reliable pipelines and process automation in the Security field at KernelCare. This role combines deep technical execution with technical product ownership. It is approximately 70% hands-on software engineering and 30% technical product ownership. You will take ownership of significant product components and workstreams. This includes understanding what needs to be built, working directly with stakeholders, defining milestones and tasks, designing the solution, contributing production code, delivering it to customers, and continuing to own it in production. This is an individual contributor role focused on technical ownership rather than people management. We are looking for someone who can operate independently, work effectively with unclear requirements, and proactively move large areas of work forward without waiting for a manager to define each next step. The products and priorities may evolve over time. Therefore, curiosity, adaptability, and a general interest in cybersecurity are important for this role.
