We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals. What you'd be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. Performance is fundamental to Canva's editing experience. As we grow, our editor needs to remain fast, smooth and reliable across different devices, networks and increasingly complex designs. The Editing Performance team is rebuilding foundational parts of Canva's editor architecture, primarily in TypeScript with a growing amount of React Native and native development. You'll have the opportunity to work deep in the foundations of the editor, helping it perform at scale while making it easier for engineering teams across Canva to build performant experiences. At the moment, this role is focused on: Designing, developing and deploying software solutions, partnering closely with engineering leads, designers and product managers to deliver experiences for Canva's global community.
