THE ROLE As a Staff Engineer, you are a recognized expert and force multiplier across the organization. You’ll architect multi-system solutions, define technical standards, and drive high-impact initiatives such as platform migrations and reliability programs. You’ll mentor engineers across teams and partner with leadership to shape Zippy’s technical direction. RESPONSIBILITIES - Architect large, multi-system technical solutions with long-term scalability. - Define and drive adoption of org-wide standards, frameworks, and reference architectures. - Set domain-level SLOs and reliability strategies. - Lead security and threat modeling initiatives across multiple systems. - Guide technical roadmaps in collaboration with senior leadership. - Mentor multiple engineers across the org and run design reviews. - Deliver measurable improvements in org-level metrics (e.g., MTTR, deployment frequency).
